Indianapolis Mini Marathon Winners and Results – The Indianapolis Mini Marathon is said to happen this weekend of Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 am. This mini marathon featured a great battle between the Kenya and Ethiopia which is considered as a distance duel for international track across the country today.
The race started with temps in the low 40s with mostly cloudy skies. A few sprinkles are possible with wind gusts up to 40mph. Apparently, Temperatures only rebound to the mid 50s Saturday, so it’s going to be a cool run through downtown Indy.
And for the result of the mini marathon, Festus Langat, a 24-year-old Kenyan, had a time of 1:02:50 and finished two seconds ahead of runner-up Ondara Macdonald. Langat is based in West Chester, Pa.
Meanwhile, Kenya’s Janet Cherobon broke a race record and edged Ethiopia’s Belainesh Zemedkin to win the women’s title in the 34th OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.
The recently concluded mini marathon were composed of more than 35,000 runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes participated in today’s 13.1-mile road race though Downtown Indianapolis, which included part of the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Mini-Marathon is the nation’s largest half-marathon.
