Apple’s iPad Global Launch Date Is Confirmed

Apple has already sold more than 1m iPads in the US since it went on sale in the US market on April 3. The nine countries considered as new markets for iPad release includes Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
The cheapest model will retail at £429 in the UK with the same version in the US which costs $499 (£337). The variation in price is attributed to the British VA and US sales tax. In the UK, the gadget will range in price from £429 for entry-level model to £699 for the maximum capacity 64GB model that includes built-in access to third-generation (3G) mobile networks.
By May 10, customers will be able to pre-order the device in the different markets. The international launch was announced after a challenging month for Apple.
