An event in San Francisco has been the way of telling the public that in the coming days, Twitter will be in a fresher look. The service will feature tabs at the top of the screen that let users more easily access their home pages, connect with others and discover new content, Twitter said.
According to the Twitter Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer Dick Costolo, this new Twitter is their foundation. “As other services tack feature after feature after feature on top of each other, we’re going to go in an entirely different direction and offer simplicity in a world of complexity,” Costolo added.
Costolo has been handling the micro-blogging site since October of last year while its co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone have lessened their involvement. Costolo needs to improve the site to attract more users and lure advertisers as well wherein they would be getting their highest share of revenue.
Part of the revamp would be 500% faster timeline update and redesigned users’ profile page . Still it stays as a micr-blogging site that allows every users to share 140-character messages.
“I just hope this will bring goodness to billions of netizens,” says Andrew Tan, a social media enthusiast who’s at the same time a businessman. He has been using Twitter in promoting his boats for sale in Philippines business and it where he gets majority of his sales.
